First, follow directions below to the Brigham and Women's Hospital.
Once you are inside the Brigham's main lobby, take the elevators across from the information desk down to L1. When you leave the elevators, turn right. Walk down the hallway: the third door on your right is marked "SPL". Enter to the reception area.

Getting to Brigham and Women's Hospital
From MIT or Sullivan Square
During the week, take the MBTA CT2 bus ($0.90 fare) from Sullivan Square or from Kendall Square station (in front of the MIT Coop). If you're catching the bus at Kendall, be sure to that the bus is going towards Ruggles Station. Listen for the Beth Israel Deaconess bus stop, and signal for the next stop (Blackfan Circle/Children's Hospital). Turn right coming out of the bus onto Longwood Avenue. Walk straight through one traffic light (Blackfan), then turn left at the next one (Binney Street). Walk straight until you reach Francis Street. BWH main entrance is on your left.
At night or on weekends, take the Red Line subway inbound from Kendall to Park Street Station. Follow directions from downtown.
From Harvard Square
Take the Red Line inbound to Park Street. Proceed as if coming from downtown.
Harvard Faculty and Harvard Medical School students can also take the MASCO M2 shuttle from Harvard or MIT.
From Logan airport
Take the Blue Line inbound to Government Center. Transfer to the Green Line, E branch. proceed as if coming from downtown.
From downtown Boston
Pick up the Green Line trolley, E branch, westbound. Take it to Brigham Circle. Turn right on Francis Street. Walk past the Peter Bent Brigham building and BWH ambulatory entrance on your right. Walk one more block. BWH main entrance is on right.
Several other bus and train lines provide service to the Longwood Medical Area. Need more information on mass transit connections? Check the MBTA web site. Local subway fare is $1.25, bus fare is $0.90.
From the North
Via Logan Airport, the Mystic River Bridge, Route 1, Routes 93 or 28, follow the signs to Storrow Drive. After the Copley Square/Massachusetts Avenue sign, take the left exit off Storrow Drive marked Fenway, Route 1. Take the right fork marked Boylston Street, Outbound. At a major intersection/rotary (look for the Landmark Center in front of you and to your right), turn left onto Brookline Avenue. Proceed past Beth Israel/Deaconess Hospital and through the Longwood Avenue intersection. Move to the left lane. Go through the next traffic light (Jimmy Fund Way), and take the next left onto Francis Street. The BWH main entrance is on your left (one block), and a parking garage is on your right.
From the South
Via the Southeast Expressway, take the Massachusetts Avenue/Roxbury exit.
Follow Melnea Cass Boulevard through 6 lights to the end. You will see
Northeastern University and the Ruggles Street MBTA station. Turn left
onto Tremont Street. At Ruggles Street, turn right, then left at Huntington
Avenue. You will pass the Museum of Fine Arts and the Massachusetts College
of Art. Continue through the Longwood Avenue intersection. The next traffic
light is Brigham Circle. Bear right onto Francis Street. Pass the BWH
ambulatory entrance and proceed one block to the BWH main entrance on
right. Parking garage is on left.
From the West
Via the Massachusetts Turnpike, take Exit 22 at Copley Square. Follow the left lane, labeled Prudential Center, and take Huntington Avenue west. Proceed as is coming from the south.
Bicycling is a great way to get around the Boston metropolitan area. Oftentimes, it's also the fastest way.
From Cambridge (Havard Square)
Ride along the Cambridge side of the Charles River to the BU Bridge (beware of crossing traffic, pedestrians, potholes, and ice in the winter). (Alternatively, take Putnam Avenue from the Mt. Auburn Street / Mass Ave intersection through the Western Ave, River Street, and Magazine Street lights. Turn right on Pearl Street. Proceed to end. Turn left on Granite Street. Proceed to end. Turn right on Brookline Street, cross the rotary). Cross the BU Bridge. Bear left with traffic. At the first right, take a hard right onto Lenox (greater than 90 degree turn). Take the next left (Prescott), and another left (Euston). Turn right on Carlton Street. Cross Beacon Street. Follow Carlton Street as it turns right. Proceed straight (street becomes Colchester Street, then Chapel Street) past the Longwood T stop to the traffic light (Longwood Ave.) Turn left. Proceed across Riverway and Brookline Ave. Turn right on Binney Street. Proceed to top of hill. Turn left and ride one-half block. There are bike racks in front of you and to your left.
During the summer, all bike racks in this area fill up. Children's Hospital security has been known to discourage alternative transportation by locking up bikes locked to street signs. There is more bike parking available by turning left on Shattuck Street and riding to the end (Harvard Medical School and the Countway Library). The most unused bike racks are available on the plaza level of the Countway.
From Cambridge (MIT)
Follow Mass Ave across the Charles River on the Harvard Bridge. Turn right on Beacon Street. Move to the left lane. Ride under the underpass. Immediately after it, turn left, moving to the right lane. Cross Commonwealth Avenue. Ride up the onramp to Boylston. Bear right with traffic. Continue on Boylston Street outbound. Continue straight for about five blocks until you see a traffic light and a rotary in front of you (You'll also see the Landmark Center in front of you on your right). Turn left before the rotary onto Brookline Ave. Ride past Beth Israel/Deaconess Hospital, move to the left lane, and turn left with traffic onto Longwood. Take the next right onto Binney. Look for parking as above.
