Angel Torrado-Carvajal

Angel Torrado-Carvajal is a Ph.D. candidate at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), Mostoles, Spain. He is also a Research Assistant at the Department of Electronics (DTE) at URJC.

He received his Degree in Telecommunications Engineering in 2010 and his M.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering in 2011 from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC). He is currently studying his M.Sc. in Telematics Systems and Computer Science while working towards his Ph.D.

From October to December 2014 he will be working as visiting researcher at Surgical Planning Laboratory, Department of Radiology, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. His current research interests include High-Field Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In particular, his main goal is the development of a complete pipeline for MRI-based tissue modeling using the open-source 3D Slicer software platform (3D Slicer).

This development is enclosed in the advanced fellows project Team MS: Improving RF Safety for High Field MRI (MS-SAR) of the Madrid-MIT M+Vision Consortium (M+Vision).
