Kevin Beason (December 2005-May 2006)

Kevin received his MS in Computer Science from Florida State University, where he placed 1st or 2nd (out of roughly 100 participants) in the local ACM programming contests during 1997-2005. His thesis "Pre-computed Global Illumination of Isosurfaces" demonstrates a technique for storing radiance (computed via a novel 4D version of photon mapping) in a 3D illumination grid, then using the grid as a texture map for isosurfaces that a user can sweep through in real time.
