Adam Birnbaum (December 2004-December 2006)

Adam is a Software Architect at the San Diego Supercomputer Center.

He received his Master's degree in physics from SUNY Stony Brook in 1992, and his Bachelor's from Harvard in 1990.

Adam is involved in studying distributed computing and data management issues associated with high-performance calculations for intraoperative neurosurgical imaging systems. He is helping to find ways to improve the resolution of models by making large-scale, remote computational resources, such as those available at SDSC, available on demand during surgery at BWH.
