Chris Umans (June 1995-September 1996)

Chris received his B.A. from Williams College in Computer Science and Mathematics in 1996. He will begin graduate school in computer science at U.C. Berkeley in September on an NSF fellowship.

While at the SPL, he has worked on the Virtual Endoscopy project and the Brain Browser, a Java applet.

His current interests in computer science are in algorithms and theory. He spent much of his senior year at Williams working on his honors thesis, "An Algorithm for Finding Hamiltonian Cycles in Grid Graphs Without Holes."
