Charles Ratzlaff M.D.
Dr. Charles Ratzlaff is a Research Fellow at Harvard Medical School / Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston (Musculoskeletal Radiology). He is a clinical epidemiologist, having completed a PhD at the University of British Columbia School of Population and Public Health, and an experienced physical therapist.
Under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey Duryea, he is currently investigating software-based novel imaging outcome measurements in osteoarthritis (OA). Dr. Ratzlaff is a member of a collaboration formed by Drs. Duryea and Kikinis for a project using the SPL 3D Slicer package. The goal of the effort is to take an existing laboratory software tool developed to assess radiographic OA of the knee and produce a releasable fully documented version that can be distributed to interested researchers. The researchers will use the NA-MIC model for software development. Funding for this project has been requested from the National Institutes of Health though an R01 application.
