Haissam Haidar Ph.D. (January 2002-June 2007)

I am a specialist in Mathematical Modeling of various systems. I received my Ph.D. from Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Moscow, Russia.

Currently, I am instructor at Harvard Medical School and Research Scientific Associate at the department of Neurology, Children's Hospital Boston. My primary research focuses on the development of reliable mathematical and statistical models for application in medicine.

In collaboration with neonatal neurologists from Children's Hospital Boston, I am working on development of novel mathematical algorithms to analyze in vivo, using three-dimensional magnetic resonance imaging, the specifics of brain development in infants born prematurely and infants born with white matter injury, in comparison to normal brain development in healthy infants born full term.
