Marianna Jakab

Marianna is the Research and Publications Compliance Manager of the Surgical Planning Laboratory and the Image Guided Therapy Program in the Department of Radiology, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. She had trained as an electrical engineer and computer scientist at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Budapest, Hungary, has been a member of the BWH IGT Program and the SPL since 1992. She plays a leadership role in the creation and maintenance of the SPL hosted websites and the web based SPL Publications Database. She develops tutorials for technologies (Prostate biopsy module, tractograph) for brain tumor surgery, new MR-US registration) that is being developed and incorporate it into to the IGT Program's website. Marianna is the 3D Slicer instructor in the lab and runs Slicer workshops to train users in small classes and on a "one-on-one" basis.
