Alireza Mehrtash

Alireza is a PhD student at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver and a research associate in Radiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School. He received his BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, Iran in 2005 and 2009 respectively. He also studied Medical Imaging at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden. His masters research project was in electromagnetic-guidance of needles for percutaneous interventions.

Alireza is currently involved with projects at NCIGT (National Center for Image-Guided Therapy), NAC (Neuroimage Analysis Center) and QIICR (Quantitative Image Informatics for Cancer Research) project. His research interests include deep learning for medical image analysis and image-guided therapy.
