Rola Harmouche Ph.D.
Rola Harmouche is a postdoctoral researcher at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Harvard Medical School. She obtained her Bachelors and masters degree in computer engineering from McGill university in Montreal, and her PhD from École Polytechnique in Montreal. Her research focuses on the registration, segmentation and classification of medical images. For her masters, she developped a method for the automatic classification of multiple sclerosis lesions on magnetic resonance images using a probabilistic approach. Her PhD outlined a method to obtain a patient-specific model of the full torso of a patient with scoliosis via multimodal image registration. Her present research focuses on medical image analysis techniques (such as segmentation) for chest CT data specifically applied to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
