Sang-Eun "Sam" Song, Ph.D.

Sam received the MSc degree in mechanical systems engineering from The University of Liverpool, UK, in 2000, and the PhD degree in mechanical engineering (medical robotics) from Imperial College London, UK, in 2005. He was at the Institute for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (ICAOS) at The Western Pennsylvania Hospital affiliated with the Robotics Institute at the Carnegie Mellon University in 2007-8, and at the Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics at The Johns Hopkins University (JHU) in 2008-10. He is currently a Research Associate in the Radiology Department at Brigham & Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His research interests include design, control, and clinical implementation of surgical robotic systems.
