Xinyang Liu Ph.D. (June 2012-February 2014)

Dr. Liu is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Radiology, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA. His current project is to design software to compute metrics describing progress of image-guided thermal therapies (cryoablation in particular). He is interested in developing image processing algorithms such as segmentation, registration, motion correction and needle detection for image-guided therapies.

Before joining Brigham and Women's Hospital in 2011, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Johns Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD for one year, and he received his Ph.D. degree in Mathematics from Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL in 2010.
