Surgical Planning Laboratory

Yongwook Kim (March-December 2008)

I am a graduate student in the EECS department and a member of the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory (CSAIL) at MIT, working with Polina Golland. My research interests include machine learning, applied statistics, and their applications in neuroscience. For my current research, I investigate connection and comparison of data-driven analysis methods (PCA, ICA, and clustering) for identification of functional connectivity in fMRI. Prior to MIT, I received Sc.B. in Mathematics and Physics from Brown University in 2005. I also spent my junior year at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, UK, as a Roger Williams Scholar.
